Livestock Assistant Manager – Inverell NSW

The Livestock Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for:

  • Livestock Operations– Ensure all aspects of livestock handling and quality control, including drafting, culling, branding, weaning and animal health treatments, are undertaken safely and with a focus on animal welfare standards and the production of high-quality seedstock.
  • Livestock Data –Maintain accurate and timely livestock records to support informed decision-making.
  • Team Development–Develop and train Seedstock team members to build strong seedstock knowledge and technical capabilities, fostering a high-performing and knowledgeable workforce.

What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience in stud cattle operations, ideally with black cattle (Ultrablack, Brangus, Angus or similar)
  • Strong understanding of livestock quality control measures, animal health and pasture management.
  • Confident and supportive leader with a passion for mentoring others
  • High level of initiative and an eye for continuous improvement
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
