In this role, you'll get to
Support the Head of Strategy & Commercial Partnerships by undertaking analysis of potential opportunities.
Support the definition of small/medium project Business Cases ensuring that they are linked to strategy with clearly defined benefits (financial and non-financial metrics) and project execution parameters (dependencies, do-ability assessment etc.) to enable prioritisation.
Maintain pipeline of opportunities (strategy focus), and decisions, dependencies, risks and issues register across various projects in the portfolio (planning and project execution focus).
Prepare project and portfolio status reports with inputs from project managers and leads, covering overall status, achievements, issues, risks, budgets (including forecasts), benefits, and resource allocation
Monitor existing projects to ensure timely execution and completion to plan and support the realisation of benefits.
Work with the Head of Strategy & Commercial Partnerships, the Head of PMO and relevant stakeholders to develop PMO processes, covering aspects from strategy development, project & portfolio planning, through to project management and execution. Document these processes into a set of Project Portfolio Management frameworks to drive consistency in ways-of-working and to support continuous improvement.
To shine on day one, what you need to have:
Demonstrated experience in supporting the articulation of strategy, including undertaking business case modelling / development of opportunities
Demonstrated experience in a PMO specialist role within a PMO, ideally with exposure across all facets of a PMO, including different delivery methodologies (agile, waterfall, hybrid), project governance, and project cost estimation / forecasts
Experience in developing and implementing project portfolio management processes, tools and templates
Experience in maintaining accurate data across multiple projects to develop a portfolio view, and undertake analysis to identify emerging risks / issues
