Account Manager, FMCGs (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) - Seller Services

Job ID: 2918763 | Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd

Are you familiar with account management or sales? Join a collaborative team shaping the future of e-commerce in Australia We're seeking an Account Manager to nurture relationships with top Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) sellers and help them grow their business on Amazon's marketplace.

We're growing at a phenomenal rate as we work to create an awesome shopping experience for Australians. New team members are joining us in our mission to be the most customer-centric company on Earth. To reach our goal we need talented, bright, and driven individuals. If you'd like to help us build the number one place to find and buy anything online in the FMCG category, then this role is for you.

We're looking for a motivated and driven Account Manager to join our Existing Seller Management (ESM) team, managing priority existing FMCG third-party sellers at Amazon's Marketplace in Australia. You'll join a diverse team of high-performing Account Managers working with some of the top Selling Partners in the AU marketplace, with ample opportunity to grow and develop new skills.

As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for developing strong relationships with existing large and medium sellers. You'll balance your time between cultivating new relationships with existing sellers and assisting them in optimizing their accounts to best suit their specific needs. You'll work closely with sellers to understand their procurement requirements and collaborate with internal Amazon teams to determine the best solutions to address their business needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing relationships across functional areas such as procurement, production, maintenance, supply chain, and IT and has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.

Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment the successful candidate will be required to work autonomously, taking responsibility for achieving business objectives. This role provides a real opportunity to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate.

----------------------------------
Our team operates out of our fabulous CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options)

Amazon offers employees a competitive remuneration package, including participation in the company stock plan as applicable. We also look after our people with benefits, such as subsidized private health insurance and paid parental leave options, amongst others.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Work with established Selling Partners, helping to drive growth across multiple categories.
  2. Work with a wide range of businesses and decision makers, from eCommerce arms of major Australian brands and retailers to smaller independent/family businesses.
  3. Collaborate with Product teams to help with Selling Partner education and adoption of Amazon services such as Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Amazon Easy Ship (AES), Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), Sponsored Advertising, and deals (including deal events such as Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday).
  4. Meet or exceed targets for seller account management.
  5. Support Selling Partner in growing their business and following best-practices to help increase traffic and sales, including improving their Amazon store page and product detail pages, leveraging Amazon Ads, promotions, deals and coupons, building their brand with Amazon Brand Registry, and managing stock and inventory.
  6. Analyse internal and industry data to understand the competitive landscape to identify customer behaviors, trends and new opportunities.
  7. Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management, Technical and Category Management teams.
  8. Drive customer satisfaction.
  9. Work closely with marketing, merchandising, business development, customer service, and other key internal Amazon stakeholders.
A day in the life
You'll start your day connecting with sellers to understand their needs, collaborating with product teams on solutions, and analyzing performance data to identify growth opportunities. You'll participate in team meetings to share insights and work together on innovative approaches to support our sellers.

About the team
We're a diverse group working from our modern CBD office, easily accessible by public transport. We support each other's growth while maintaining work-life balance. Our inclusive culture encourages new ideas and collaborative problem-solving.
