About The Role

The Business Advisor – Finance is responsible for delivering a high-quality business advisory service for a portfolio of divisions, contributing to effective and efficient financial management, compliance with legislative frameworks and policy settings, and achievement of strategic financial goals. The role provides expert financial reporting and analysis to senior officers to support decision making and compliance with budgeting and financial frameworks. It also develops and maintains networks with key stakeholders across the department, services, external agencies and organisations to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality business advisory services for a portfolio of divisions.
  • Support effective financial management, compliance with legislative frameworks and policy settings.
  • Provide expert financial reporting and analysis to senior officers to support decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with budgeting and financial frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain networks with key stakeholders across the department and external agencies to achieve quality outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Essential: Nil
  • Desirable: A tertiary qualification in accountancy, business, or commerce.
Special conditions
  • The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to employment, renewable every five years.
  • RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course required and updated every three years.
  • Refer to the attached Position Description for all other special conditions.
Remuneration

ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
