RoadTek has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our team in the Cairns Operations Unit.

In this key role, you will be providing electrical engineering support for the efficient and effective operation of the Traffic Management systems, ITS, and Roadway Lighting for the Far North region.

This dynamic role involves applying your expertise across traffic signals, road lighting, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)—a cutting-edge field leveraging advanced technologies to enhance road safety, reduce congestion, and deliver real-time traffic information.

By integrating systems engineering with electronics, communications, and control technologies, ITS improves transport efficiency across Queensland. As a Project Engineer (Electrical), you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of these systems—from planning and design to construction, maintenance, and innovation. You will also develop technical standards and promote the adoption of emerging technologies.
