We are seeking a Senior Consultant in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane to join KPMG's Deal Advisory and Infrastructure practice. Our Financial Modelling team develops robust, best-practice models to support analysis and decision making for major infrastructure projects, greenfields projects, project financing and M&A transactions.
Your Opportunity – Financial Modeller (Senior Consultant)
As you progress in our team, you will leverage your increasing financial modelling expertise on complex projects and work alongside some of the industry's leading financial modellers. You will:
- Develop best-in-class financial models in contexts such as pre-bid, bid and post-bid phases.
- Review financial models supporting large, high-profile transactions in Australia and globally.
- Engage with clients across sectors, including infrastructure and the energy transition.
- Manage client engagements or discrete workstreams within a larger engagement, coaching and developing junior staff and client resources.
- Receive tailored learning and development from senior financial modellers.
- Work in a flexible environment with options for Home, Office and Client hub work arrangements.
- Develop and provide financial analysis to interpret model outputs on major projects.

- You are interested in using data analytics and technology to improve modelling, planning, procurement, delivery and management of projects and transactions.
- You can solve complex financial problems logically and methodically to meet client needs and provide meaningful insights.
Your Experience

- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Positive interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
- Strong numeracy with high attention to detail.
- Ability to balance and prioritise tasks within a high-performing, energetic team.
You may also have the following desirable, but not mandatory, skills and experience:
- Hands-on experience in developing best-practice financial models in Excel from scratch.
- Big 4 audit or advisory experience.
- Other consulting experience in any context.
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant numerate field, such as commerce, econometrics, accounting or engineering.
