  • Full time - Term Contract (temporary up to 12-months)

About the Opportunity

  • Join CAMHS as a Clinician, responsible for:
  • Accepting accountability for the outcomes of clinical practice for children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.
  • Addressing any inconsistencies between practice and policy.
  • Ensuring optimal consumer care, focusing on achieving the best possible health and recovery outcomes for consumers.
  • Providing assessment, education, counselling, and group work as essential components of care.
  • Consulting and liaising with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to support consumer care.
  • Using clinical knowledge, skills, and experience to support and educate staff.
  • Leading and participating in research, quality improvement, and policy development activities.

About You

  • Relevant degree/registration/qualification for your discipline
  • Extensive clinical experience in treating and managing complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • Ability to conduct mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with individuals and families and foster multidisciplinary relationships.
