Role detailsThe Medical Services at Mackay Base Hospital are seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (McGrath Foundation Lung Nurse) to join their team on a temporary basis.

About The TeamThe newly established McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN) is designed to deliver comprehensive clinical care and vital psychosocial support to individuals and their loved ones navigating the complex journey of cancer treatment and care. The role focuses on providing assistance at every stage, from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, survivorship, and end of life, ensuring emotional and psychological needs are met.
The MCCN (Lung Tumour) will possess expert knowledge regarding the spectrum of cancer care, including health assessment, treatment pathways, referrals, and ongoing facilitation of clinical and supportive care, providing advice to patients and other healthcare professionals within MHHS.
