Overview

Clinical Support Nurse role at Western Health. The Undergraduate Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) is responsible for providing support and mentorship to nursing staff, including in the clinical learning environment. This position provides direct expert clinical support and leadership to all nurses, particularly undergraduate student nurses and preceptors/buddy nurses. The CSN will encourage a positive learning environment in which preceptors/buddy nurses are supported, and skills developed are consistent with current nursing knowledge and research.

  • Maintain own knowledge of evidence based practice and participate in your own professional development so that your knowledge and skills remain current and align with best evidence.
About You
  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience within an acute hospital setting.
  • Have a passion for support and preceptorship.
  • Knowledge of current clinical issues & challenges in relevant clinical area
  • Possess recent acute clinical skills with advanced clinical knowledge.
