FP&A/Accounting Analyst

About Us:

We're a growing, privately held manufacturing company in Charlotte, NC, known for our innovative products and collaborative team culture. As we continue to expand, we're seeking an FP&A/Accounting Analyst to join our finance team and support strategic decision-making through financial planning, reporting, and analysis.

The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with leadership across finance, accounting, and operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, experience in financial analysis, and a passion for driving efficiency and insight through data. Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting is highly valued.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making
  • Partner with accounting and operations to analyze product costs, margins, and variance reporting
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages, highlighting trends and actionable insights
  • Support leadership with scenario modeling, cash flow analysis, and KPI tracking
  • Assist in monthly and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capital investment analysis, pricing strategies, and operational improvements
  • Leverage ERP data (Sage experience highly preferred) to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, accounting, or related financial roles
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles; CPA or CMA a plus
  • Cost accounting or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; ERP experience with Sage is a major plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
