Hornsby, Australia Support Worker Co. Full time

Support and mentor young people in Residential Out of Home Care Services
- Casual positions with consistent hours & ongoing work
- 24/7 care model - 8 hour shifts, morning, afternoon & over night

Support Worker Co partners with Youth Service organisations to provide knowledgeable and experienced Youth Workers across Australia.

**Youth Workers will be required to**:

- Deliver high quality care and support within a 24-hour residential setting to children and young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
- Respond to the young person’s emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
- Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
- Provide a safe and home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
- Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.

**What you need**:

- A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification (or willing to enroll)
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
- Full Australian driver's license
- Have a reliable car with comprehensive insurance
- Reliable smart phone with data
- Ability to work on a flexible basis with active night shifts and/or sleepover shifts
- Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs in an out of home care setting (preferred)
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention TCI Training (preferred)
