Job Description

About the role

This Assistant Accountant role plays a critical role in maintaining day-to-day financial integrity, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, managing cash flow, and supporting audit, accounts payable and financial control activities. The main responsibilities will include:
  • Processing transactions
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining fixed assets registers
  • Assisting in the preparation of management financial statements and reports
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
  • Providing annual audit support
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Collaboration with the finance team on various ad hoc projects

Full-time on-site role based in Warriewood on Sydney's Northern beaches.

Desired Skills And Experience

About you

You will be degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related field, ideally with several years' experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience.
  • Be an enthusiastic learner
  • Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Receptive to new ways of doing business and to new ideas
  • Strong attention to detail and respect deadlines
  • Fluent in Chinese/Mandarin is preferred but not essential
