Overview

About the role: The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP S/4HANA technical delivery, ensuring a structured and risk-mitigated transition from legacy systems within the SAP Activate Methodology framework.

Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Technical Project Manager

Contract Duration: 16 Month + possible extension

Location: Brisbane CBD (Hybrid work)

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP S/4HANA technical delivery within the SAP Activate Methodology framework.
  • Mitigate risks and ensure high system availability and performance during transitions.
  • Assure structured transition from legacy systems to S/4HANA with effective project governance.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years demonstrated and extensive relevant experience leading large-scale SAP technical projects, ideally with hands-on involvement in S/4HANA implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, system integration, data migration, and infrastructure planning.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate Methodology and agile project delivery frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to mitigate technical risks and ensure high system availability and performance during transitions.
  • Experience leading platform management projects across large multi-release SAP Transformations
  • Experience in the implementation and release of SAP RISE platforms
  • Experience in the implementation and release of SAP SuccessFactors and Employee Central (EC) platforms
  • Other implementation experience for SAP Cloud platform-based products viewed favourably
  • An operating understanding of SAP Solman, CHaRM and SAP transport management highly regarded
  • A robust practical understanding of enterprise release management practises
  • Experience in large infrastructure implementation projects favourable
  • Experience in the sourcing of platform services, platform services supplier management and development of services agreements
