Overview

Solo Resource Recovery is a 100% Australian owned and operated industrial services and waste management company with over 90 years in the industry. We operate a fleet of vehicles designed and built by our own manufacturing and engineering department, supported by advanced Vehicle Management Systems and a strong customer focus. Our trucks are kept clean, well presented, safe and compliant with EPA requirements. We are currently seeking a skilled full-time Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, based in our busy workshop in Dandenong, VIC.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman, you will work on a fleet of Heavy Waste vehicles and contribute to a professional, team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities
  • General mechanical works
  • Welding
  • Both major and minor repairs
  • Carrying out breakdown repairs
  • Scheduled maintenance
Qualifications
  • Trade certification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical
  • A current rigid truck driver's license
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Occupational Health & Safety
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Experience in hydraulics, automotive electrics or welding is not essential, but would be an advantage, as would a forklift licence. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.
