Are you a commercially minded quantitative researcher who's ready to step up into a senior leadership role with greater strategic influence, client ownership, and team impact?

We're partnering with a leading independent insights consultancy that blends deep research thinking with strategic and creative intelligence. Known for bringing clarity to complexity, they work with some of Australia's best-loved consumer brands to shape smarter decisions through human-centred insight.

With a strong and growing presence in Melbourne, they're now looking for an Account Director to lead key accounts and help shape the future of their local team.

The Opportunity

You'll play a central role in designing and delivering high-impact quantitative studies, leading client relationships, and contributing to business growth. Expect a healthy mix of ad hoc and tracking work across sectors like FMCG, retail, media, services, and technology.

Project types include:

  • Brand strategy and communications development
  • Innovation and concept testing
  • Customer experience and journey mapping
  • Behavioural insight and decision-making

As a senior team member, you'll guide more junior consultants, collaborate with qualitative and strategic thinkers, and help ensure each project delivers commercial and cultural relevance.

About You

You're confident, collaborative, and commercially focused – with a passion for turning data into clarity and insight into action.

You'll bring:

  • 7+ years' experience in quantitative research (agency/consultancy preferred)
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to lead accounts and grow relationships
  • Proven experience managing projects end-to-end, from brief to delivery
  • Comfort in survey design, data interpretation, and building compelling narratives
  • A natural collaborator with curiosity for culture, behaviour, and brands
