About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced beauty / massage Spa Therapist to join our Island Day Spa team at Kingfisher Bay Resort, K'gari (Fraser Island). As a Spa Therapist, you will deliver a luxurious spa journey, ensuring each guest feels welcomed and cared for with exceptional service from the beginning to completion.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional team player who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in facials, body treatments and a strong background in massage. Working in a small team you would beself-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Excellent personal presentation standards and strong communication skills are a must.

Reporting to the Spa Manager this is a permanent part-time position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight on a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends. The successful candidate is available for an immediate start and can be either local to Hervey Bay with the willingness to commute between River Heads and K'gari daily or be able to relocate to the island for a live-on position.

Key Role Requirements

  • Body massages - including Pregnancy, Hot Stone, Facials, Pedicures, Body Treatments such as Body Scrub / Body Wraps
  • Greeting guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Managing reception duties / efficiently handling guest queries
  • Performing up to five massage treatments per shift
  • Be able to confidently recommend Skin Care / Home Care advice
  • The ability to follow instructions, adhere to SOP's and open to constructive feedback

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Beauty Therapy orDiploma in Remedial / MassageA minimum 2 years' experience as a spa therapistPrevious experience in a supervisory position, desirableSpa therapy experience in a resort day spa environment or similar, desirableExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independentlyPrevious experience in front desk, answering calls, emails etcGreat problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
