Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, getting stuck into hands-on work, and making a real difference in your community? We're looking forWorks Assistantsto help maintain the City's parks, playgrounds, reserves, public amenities Botanic Gardens and green spaces.About the role:In this varied, on-the-go role, you'll:
  • Keep our public spaces clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Support horticultural, turf maintenance and Botanic Gardens programs
  • Operate equipment and assist with small plant and truck tasks
  • Use mobile technology to plan and report on work
  • Be part of a team that takes pride in keeping the City looking great
What you'll bring:
  • Cert III in Horticulture, Civil Construction or relevant experience
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • A passion for working outdoors and a strong work ethic
  • Reliability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Bonus points for: MR licence, Chemical Accreditation, First Aid, or Traffic Control experience.What's on offer?
  • $29.51 per hour + 12% superannuation
  • MultiplePermanentFull-Time positions of 38 hours per week
