We're seeking an experienced National Tanker Project Manager to join us in a full-time, permanent capacity.
Location: Ingleburn, New South Wales
With a strong focus on the tanker's maintenance processes and project management, this pivotal national role is essential to keeping Supagas' LPG & cryogenic tankers, ISO container and DG bulk transport vehicles operating safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance.
Your expertise will be vital in optimising fleet performance, forecast maintenance needs, and ensuring continuous adherence to safety standards and compliance obligations.
Responsibilities- Oversee the compliance and maintenance of Supagas' LPG and cryogenic tanker fleet, while also managing the procurement and commissioning of new tankers and stationary tanks.
- Develop and manage the procurement of new tankers or their equipment, ensuring the spares inventory is maintained and critical parts are readily available, while continuously improving the process.
- Support compliance with Dangerous Goods (DG) bulk transport regulations while managing the maintenance of Supagas' DG fleet using MEX and sourcing contractors both locally and internationally.
- Ensure the efficient delivery of the re-horsing program for existing tankers.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to review the design of new and existing tankers, ensuring optimal performance, including maximizing payload and maintaining compliance.
- Develop technical documentation and specifications covering all tanker requirements, including design, procurement, acceptance testing, fit-out, maintenance, and inspection, while providing hands-on support in daily operations.
- Considerable experience in tanker maintenance within the industrial gas or LPG industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related Engineering discipline are highly desirable.
- Practical experience in project or maintenance management involving bulk vehicles, with essential knowledge of LPG or industrial gases and a solid understanding of transport vehicles and bulk vessels.
- Strong understanding of data and analytics, focusing on risk management, governance and compliance with Australian standards.
- Demonstrated experience with Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - MEX is an advantage.
- Advanced written and oral communication/interpersonal skills, with the ability to present effectively to management and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work with and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Well-developed process mapping, report development and document writing skills.
- A comprehensive grasp of key commercial drivers and how they contribute to effective decision-making and business improvement.
- Well organized and able to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
