The Opportunity

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Nurse Triage team. At Amplar Health, we "make health personal" for our clients and employees, promoting a healthier way of working, challenging conventional norms, and increasing flexibility while maintaining performance and satisfaction.

This role allows you to work from anywhere in Australia, including regional and rural areas, with flexible hours and rosters.

As a Triage Nurse in our Virtual Services, you will assist people seeking clinical advice and support, providing health information or referrals as needed.

Training and Start Dates

We offer full-time paid virtual training (5 days, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm AEST) starting on 14th or 28th July. You must be available to complete the full training.

Post-training, you'll receive ongoing support from senior clinicians.

Hours and FTE

Part-time (22.5 hrs) or full-time (37.5 hrs) fixed-term contracts until 30 June 2026, with potential extension.

Your roster will require at least 70% after-hours work (1500-0700), including weekends on a 2-week rotation, with at least one weekend per fortnight.

Work from Home Requirements

  • Full technology suite provided
  • Private home office space
  • Multitasking between calls, notes, and online resources
  • Reliable internet with minimum 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds

The ideal candidate has a passion for customer service, strong interpersonal skills, and a focused, proactive mindset. You should be comfortable working to KPIs and targets.

Additional Candidate Requirements

  • At least three years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse Division 1, with current AHPRA registration
  • Experience involving public contact, including A&E, paediatrics, community care, or acute medical/surgical settings
  • Confidence in high-standard customer service in a call centre environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and resolve issues
  • Experience with computerized patient management systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive nursing assessment skills
  • Availability for weekends and nights
  • Comfort with virtual communication platforms
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Experience in a corporate environment
  • Ability to communicate across multidisciplinary teams
