The role

Due to growth, we are currently looking for a Building Services Manager to oversee the building services contracts and teams at Macquarie Centre.

The primary focus of this role is to ensure the centre is safe, secure, and inviting for tenants and customers, while maximizing operational efficiency, increasing return on investment, and managing safety and risk prudently.

What you will be doing

• Managing the centre's building services contracts, including policies and procedures related to Fire Services, Vertical Transport, Electrical & Hydraulic Services, Mechanical Services, Building Compliance, Car Park Systems, BMS, Cooling towers & Water Treatment, and Communication systems.
• Managing and delivering the centre's Annual Essential Safety Measures statement, assisting with audits related to Building Services, and completing associated action items or defect resolutions.
• Supporting the Senior Operations Manager in compiling and delivering operational and capital expense budgets, and managing the building services component of capital works projects.
• Managing and achieving the centre's sustainability targets, with reporting on Electrical, Water, and Gas usage.
• Understanding the centre's Fire Engineered Solution and reviewing potential impacts on Tenancy Fitouts and Events.
• Assisting the team in resolving common area and tenant issues involving building services.

What makes you stand out

Significant prior experience as a building services or property operations professional within the retail property sector or construction industry, with proven project management, contract, and contractor management skills, along with strong negotiation abilities.

Excellent understanding of building codes and regulations, with experience managing safety, risk, and emergency procedures.

Exceptional communication skills, the ability to develop effective relationships, and proficiency in MS Office.
