This is achieved by providing advanced Oncology nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and effective communication to ensure a positive engaged workforce and appropriate resource management to ensure all aspects of legislation are addressed.The Nurse Unit Manager will have an excellent understanding of current trends, research and policies in Oncology Nursing. You will work with the Centre Leader, Director of Nursing and Quality Manager to ensure evidence based; best practice guidelines are applied.The Frenchs Forest NUM role will have both clinical and non-clinical components depending on the centre needs.**More specifically you will:*** Provide Nursing Leadership and workforce management.* Excel in Clinical service planning and management.* Set performance goals with the team and enable these to be achieved.* Actively support and champion GenesisCare initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency and effectiveness, taking on a leadership role within projects where required.* Participate in the recruitment and selection of the nursing team.* Drive and lead the implementation of project initiatives also participating in project groups as required.* Assist and support staff in education, research and development opportunities.**We're interested in hearing from people who have:*** Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.* Clinical experience as a nurse – 5 years nursing with at least 3 years Medical Oncology experience* Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carer's.* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.* Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.* Strong commitment to quality patient care**Desirable:*** Radiation Oncology nursing experience* Post graduate qualifications or experience in acute care, management or healthcare administration.* Experience in leading a team and managing people effectively to achieve goals.* Demonstrated ability to facilitate change management.* Demonstrated ability to create an environment that develops staff potential.**Benefits of joining our team:*** Qantas membership discount, access to My Fitness Passport, gym membership discount, Bupa discount.* The opportunity to work for one of the most influential healthcare providers.* Great work/ life balance with family friendly hours.* Purchase additional annual leave as part of our annual leave scheme.* All employees and their family members have access to free confidential support that is completely external to GenesisCare including financial, nutritional and wellbeing coaching, legal advice & counselling.* Great team buzz in the clinic with charity days and lunches held.**About GenesisCare** By joining GenesisCare, you will be joining a highly progressive and passionate team of healthcare professionals and support staff, united by a common purpose: to design care experiences that deliver the best possible life outcomes.
