The Opportunity

Based at our Fairfield branch, we are seeking an enthusiastic HSE Advisor who has a willingness to learn and extend their skills in a fast paced, dynamic, hands on role. Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor will provide support in the effective management and implementation of Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability, Rehabilitation and Training throughout Komatsu's South East Regional sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Regional HSE Manager with day-to-day safety, environmental and compliance tasks,
• Support the coordination of safety inspections and participate in workplace audits,
• Attend HSE committee meetings and contribute to safety communications,
• Help organise training sessions and induction programs for employees and contractors,
• Assist with developing and reviewing Safe Work Procedures and risk assessments,
• Assist with incident investigations, including ICAM,
• Help manage chemical registers and complete basic environmental checks,
• Support emergency preparedness activities like drills and site inspections,
• Assist with workers' compensation and return-to-work processes,
• Interpret WHS regulations and apply them practically in the workplace.
  
  

Travel Requirement: Regular travel to regional branches is required to support site-based HSE activities

What We Are Looking For

• A strong interest in health, safety, and environment
• Exposure to safety practices through study, volunteering, or work experience
• Willingness to learn and develop HSE knowledge and leadership skills
• Good communication, organisation, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
• Certificate IV in WHS or currently studying (or willing to obtain)
• Willingness to undertake further training if required (e.g. ICAM, Return to Work Coordinator)
• Team-player attitude and commitment to a safety-first culture
