Your Role

As a key member of a highly regarded Legal team, you will report into and work closely with the General Counsel on corporate and financial services matters, focusing on commercial contract review.

This is a fixed term role, with a potential to become permanent based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing specialist and tailored legal advice to support the strategic and operational objectives of the business.
• Reviewing and advice on proposed transactions and run/assist with negotiation as required for a variety of commercial matters in respect to technology and distribution.
• Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders providing commercially sound advice to help manage and minimise legal risk.

This work will span a number of legal practice areas including financial services and broader corporate/commercial tasks.

About You

• 5+ years post administration experience
• General corporate and commercial matters experience providing legal advice to internal teams on contractual and other legal risk matters.
• Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating autonomously a range of commercial contracts including technology agreements (IT MSAs, Licensing Agreements), consulting agreements, supplier service agreements and NDAs.
• Financial Services Laws experience favorable (including Insurance Contracts Act and Chapter 7 Corporations Act).
• Drafting, reviewing and advising on legal and regulatory matters including policies and procedures.
• Negotiation skills, strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management
