  • Bathurst location
  • Permanent part-time role - 4 days a week (preferably Tuesday to Friday), no weekends
  • Hourly rate: $35.00 - $37.90 + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Residential Manager at St Catherine's in Bathurst, you will ensure a safe, well-maintained, and secure home environment for residents. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Executing the preventative maintenance program within the aged care home
  2. Performing reactive repairs as needed
  3. Coordinating external maintenance contractors
  4. Following policies and procedures to ensure safety for yourself, colleagues, and residents

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A kind heart and a genuine passion for elderly care
  2. Trade certificate or Cert IV in Maintenance/Building Services
  3. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  4. Hands-on experience in building maintenance, handyman, or related roles
  5. Understanding of workplace health and safety legislation
  6. Ability to establish professional relationships with residents and families
  7. Respect for residents' values, customs, and spiritual beliefs
  8. Proficiency in IT skills
  9. Willingness to undergo Police Check and NDIS clearance
