We are looking for a Trades Assistant to take on a variety of tasks.

Work in a wide variety of areas related to workshop manufacturing, drawing on your previous knowledge and individual hand skills, while also providing you with opportunities to develop new skills.

This is a full-time position.

Based in Cardiff, New South Wales, Crown Technologies is an Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing firm that caters to the mining and gas extraction sectors with tailor-made products and solutions.

If selected, you will become a vital part of our small team.

Responsibilities
  • Cabling routing and securing
  • Assembly of steelwork, frames, and bracket installation
  • Installation of hardware and additional system components
  • Instrument tube bending and installation
  • Deliveries are unloaded and sorted into designated work zones
  • Slinging, lifting, and relocating equipment with the use of forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Accurately tracking the arrival and departure of goods
  • Vehicle loading and packing apparatus
  • Domestic duties for a general workshop
  • Various other tasks as needed, such as arranging for deliveries and pick-ups at the site
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and deadlines
  • Valid Australian driver's license
  • Experience with manual and power tools; familiarity with overhead cranes
  • Mechanical aptitude and mindset (enjoy assisting in building or fabricating equipment)
  • Hard worker with strong teamwork skills
  • Preferred (not essential):
    • Dogger or Dogging Performance (DG)
    • Forklift ticket (LF) - preferred
    • Tubing or precision mechanical assembly experience
