V Care Assisted Living is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Carers / Support Workers to join our growing team in the Newcastle and surrounding areas. In this role, you will provide person-centred care and daily living support to NDIS participants across morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional support across flexible shifts, including :

Morning, afternoon & night shifts – tailored to your availability

Daily personal care : showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding

Mobility assistance : transfers, hoists, safe movement

Meal prep & housekeeping : cooking, cleaning, laundry, gardening

Community engagement : shopping trips, leisure activities, transport support.

What We are Looking For :

A genuine passion for helping others and delivering person-centred care

Certificate III (or working towards) in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current driver's license and a reliable vehicle

Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, or night shifts

Strong communication skills and a caring, patient nature

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver personal care with empathy and respect (e.g. showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)

Support participants with mobility, transfers, and safe movement

Assist with meal preparation , feeding, and general domestic duties (cleaning, laundry)

Provide transport and support for community access , appointments, and social activities

Build positive, trusting relationships with participants and their families

Accurately document progress, concerns, and changes in care needs

Support participants in building daily living skills and confidence
