At Southern Animal Health, we're proud of the strong reputation we've built over 16+ years, serving our local community just 18 km south-east of Melbourne's CBD. We're a purpose-built clinic with a modern, fully equipped facility and a fantastic team of 5 vets and 1 dedicated support staff. Our culture emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and outstanding care—with a personal touch. We're seeking a Lead Veterinarian to guide, inspire, and grow alongside our team. What You'll Be Doing:- Leading a team of passionate vets
- Fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development
- Collaborating with our Practice Manager and Regional Manager to shape the clinic's direction
- Enjoying guaranteed surgical time and a diverse case load, from routine to complex cases
- Mentoring junior vets and contributing to clinical development sessions
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Relocation allowance available for interstate candidates
- Flexible full-time roster: 4 weekdays and every 3rd weekend; public holidays on a rotation basis
- Weekly team development meetings and access to VetPartners' Leadership Development Program
- Support from a highly skilled nursing and reception team
- Purpose-built clinic with 4 consult rooms, sterile surgery, treatment areas, and digital x-ray
- Strong management support to ensure your success
- Dedicated pathology callback time during consult shifts
- A broad, loyal clientele with varied and interesting cases
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 6:30pm (Vets start from 8am)
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
- Public Holidays: 8:00am – 4:00pm
