As the National Fleet Maintenance Manager at Hills Tankers', you will be responsible to lead a team of people for the maintenance of the company's entire ever growing national fleet. In this critical full-time position, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of the company's commercial vehicles across Australia, ensuring maximum uptime, safety, and compliance.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet maintenance strategy to maximise vehicle reliability, safety, and efficiency
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of the national fleet, including scheduling, budgeting, and performance monitoring
Manage a team of maintenance planners and service providers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective fleet maintenance
Identify and implement opportunities to improve fleet performance, reduce operating costs, and enhance sustainability
Ensure all fleet complies with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies
Collaborate with the Operations team to align fleet management with overall business objectives
Provide strategic recommendations and reporting to senior management on fleet performance and optimisation
What we're looking for
Extensive experience in fleet management or maintenance operations, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective fleet maintenance strategies and policies
Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance, repair, and optimisation
Excellent project management, budgeting, and cost-control skills
Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a team of maintenance professionals
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels of the organisation
Thorough understanding of relevant regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
Proficient in the use of fleet management software and data analysis tools
