About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, we're looking for a Payroll Officer to join our high-performing Finance team. While experience in payroll is ideal, we're also open to junior candidates with accounts or payroll administration experience who are eager to grow into the role.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in processing fortnightly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all statutory obligations. You'll also support the team with payroll-related queries and contribute to finance operations.
In this role, you'll be:
- Managing the fortnightly and monthly payroll processes
- Ensuring accuracy in employee leave entitlements, superannuation, and payroll tax
- Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and internal teams
- Handling payroll-related reports and assisting with compliance tasks
- Supporting the Finance team with any ad-hoc tasks or reporting

About You
We are looking for a Payroll professional who:
- Has at least 12 months of previous payroll experience (or strong accounts/payroll admin experience with a willingness to learn)
- Has a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills
- Can manage deadlines effectively to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
- Is familiar with payroll systems and open to learning new software (Vista experience is a bonus)
- Understands employee leave, superannuation contributions, and other statutory obligations
- Is self-motivated, organised, and thrives in a team environment with strong time management skills
