Darwalla is a 90-year-old family business located in South East Queensland. We are a fully integrated business, with our own rearing, breeding, hatching, and broiler growing facilities.

We are seeking an experienced Broiler Grower for one of our company-owned farms at our complex in Gatton. You will lease the farm, which includes:

  • 8 sheds - tunnel ventilated with Skove controllers
  • X capacity silos

Your role as a Lease Grower is to independently manage your team and the operations of your farm, ensuring safe practices to produce healthy, uniform, and high-quality birds according to production requirements.

You will be supported by our broiler team, including our nutritionist and veterinarian. This is a long-term lease position, requiring management to live on-site and be available to respond to alarms and call-outs as needed.

About You

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience in growing broiler birds
  • Proven experience meeting RSPCA standards
  • Current knowledge of animal welfare and biosecurity
  • Alignment with our values and a desire for continuous improvement
