My People Solutions Recruitment are currently seeking to fill three vacancies for a Disability Support Worker for evening & inactive overnight shifts in a mature all-male 1:3 SIL house in Clyde North.
We are looking for applicants who are reliable and committed to delivering quality care and have the qualifications and at least 2+ years of disability support worker experience, with experience working with adults with high physical support needs, ABIs, high intensity support needs and behaviours of concern.
Most shifts are evenings and inactive overnight shifts starting at 6pm and finishing at 6am the next morning, with the worker provided their own bedroom and bathroom during the hours of 10pm to 6am. Successful candidates may also be offered day shifts or other locations depending on skills, experience and availability.
Essential: NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, First Aid/CPR, Working with Children Check, car and car licence. A current medication administration and manual handling certificate, as well as attendance at regular in-house training sessions.
Important: Applicants will only be considered who have a minimum of 2+ years' experience working as a disability support worker, and have experience providing quality high-intensity care with all documents current and up to date.
Minimum Requirements- At least 2+ years' experience working as a disability support worker.
- Experience with adults with high physical support needs, ABIs, high-intensity support needs and behaviours of concern (including restrictive practices) is essential.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, Driving Licence and access to a reliable car are essential.
- Cert III Individual Supports, Cert IV Disability and/or Mental Health Care Qualification, or equivalent, are preferred.
- Current medication administration and manual handling certification is required for some roles.
- Full driving licence, access to a reliable car and comprehensive car insurance.
- Ability to communicate, problem solve and use life experience along with integrity, honesty and reliability; a good sense of humour is valuable.
- You will be required to undertake online knowledge & skills development and attend regular onsite paid training sessions.
- Note: All roles may include some level of personal care and assistance as a standard part of the disability support worker's role.

My People Solutions Recruitment are currently seeking to fill a number of Disability Support Worker (Standard Level & High Intensity Level) vacancies for in-home, social & community and SIL supports in the Central, North, Northeast & Southeast metro suburbs of Melbourne.
Applicants must have at least 2+ years of disability support worker experience, experience working with adults and children with high intensity support needs and/or behaviours of concern, be able to evidence commitment to the role through ongoing personal development and learning, be able to demonstrate during interview understanding of the compliance requirements and professional boundaries of the role, enjoy working as a team and who are committed to delivering quality care.
With a variety of roles, all applicants must be flexible or able to commit to be available to work on certain days / times at least 6 weeks ahead as well as being able to travel to more than one client's home a day, making a current driving licence and car essential.
NDIS WORKER SCREENING CHECK, POLICE CHECK, FIRST AID/CPR, WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK, CAR & CAR LICENCE ARE ESSENTIAL. Some roles also require applicants to hold a current medication administration and / or manual handling certificate as well as being available to attend regular paid training sessions.
Immediate starts available for some roles where successful applicants are able to provide all required up to date documents, licences, checks & certifications.
Important: Applicants will only be considered who have a minimum of 2+ years' experience working as a disability support worker and all their documents are current and up to date. Applicants who are experienced with working with clients with high support needs including behaviours of concern, have skills, qualifications and experience of delivering individual capacity building skills, are experienced with supporting young adults or who are able to commit availability to evenings, early mornings and inactive overnight sleepover shifts will be highly regarded.
Minimum Requirements- At least 2+ years' experience working as a disability support worker.
- Experience with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Young Adults, Dementia & Advanced Manual Handling Supports, Behaviours of Concern, Restrictive Practices will be highly regarded.
- Willingness to be flexible on days, times and location or to commit to being available to work at least 4 weeks ahead.
