Overview

NTT Sydney is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support platform engineering and operations teams, ensuring stability and optimisation across AWS and Azure environments. This role will focus on backend optimisation, lifecycle management, and addressing cloud hygiene issues to deliver sustainable infrastructure practices.

Duration: 6 months with high possibility of extension

Working Flexibility: Hybrid (3 days onsite: Tue, Wed, Thurs)

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimise AWS and Azure platforms across multiple workloads.
  • Support backend infrastructure optimisation and adjustments.
  • Oversee storage lifecycle management, including hybrid solutions such as AWS FSx.
  • Implement cloud hygiene and governance measures to prevent inefficiencies and cost overruns.
  • Provide operational support to platform and storage teams, balancing BAU with project requirements.
  • Enable sustainable infrastructure growth through protocols and best practices.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong expertise in managing AWS and Azure infrastructure.
  • Solid experience in cloud storage lifecycle management and optimisation.
  • Background in platform engineering and backend performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with automation and governance in multi-cloud environments.
  • Ability to work across BAU operations while supporting new project delivery.
