Overview

Care Worker - Experienced role at Silverchain Group. The opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older members of the community. We are looking for a Cert III qualified person with at least 6 months experience in a similar role to join the Silverchain team in the XXXXXXX area.

Responsibilities
  • General housekeeping and making beds
  • Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
  • Washing, folding and ironing laundry
  • Meal preparation and grocery shopping
  • Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
  • Assisting clients to take their medications
  • Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
  • Providing social and emotional support
  • Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
  • Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things
Qualifications and experience
  • Open class Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
