The Department

Neurology at Alfred Health includes Specialist clinics (Movement Disorders, Neuropathy, Headache, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Stroke and Neurogenetics) and the Neurophysiology Department (EEG, EMG, Evoked potentials, Tremor analysis) with a strong neuropsychology service. Inpatient units include ward 6E and 2F at the Alfred campus.

The Role

The Epilepsy Administrator will assist with the day-to-day running of the Epilepsy Outpatient Specialist Clinics, including arranging appointments for patients with epileptologists, neuropsychiatrists, neuropsychologists, epilepsy fellows, epilepsy nurses and research nurses at The Alfred Hospital, Caulfield and Sandringham sites, and inpatient video-EEG monitoring (VEM) beds at The Alfred.

Essential Qualifications/Experience
  • Proven high level of organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively and sensitively, maintaining confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrated initiative and judgement, ability to work semi-autonomously and independently
  • Attention to detail
Desirable
  • Previous experience working in a public hospital setting
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role
  • Administrative experience in a health/community setting
