Overview

Engineering Manager - Special Projects role at Wave International. The company is a resource development firm with 25 years of global experience in engineering, project delivery, project and asset management, providing project strategies and solutions across battery minerals, mineral sands, gold, bulk dry commodities and more. This role involves leadership and management of design engineering and project teams across special projects in mining and resources infrastructure from concept through delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and review EPC estimates and design scopes.
  • Manage process plant design (Crushing, Wet & Dry Screening, Conveying & Reclaim, Milling Circuits, Slurry systems).
  • Lead study management across design, client interface, estimate analysis, and input to reports.
  • Provide senior input and management across construction and commissioning of minerals and industrial process plants across multiple minerals/resources.
  • Support client proposals, review scope of works, analyze deliverables, and work with senior team to determine cost and risk factors and price accordingly.

This role offers an opportunity to provide professional input and leadership across multiple projects in Australia and internationally, with involvement in business operations, direction, planning and continuous improvement.

A Mechanical Engineering lean is preferred, with consideration given to those with Process Engineering specialization.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong leadership and design management experience in mining and resources projects.
  • Experience with EPC projects and process plant design disciplines listed above.
  • Ability to interface with clients, manage studies, and contribute to cost and risk analysis.
