Key duties:
- Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align with the Victorian Curriculum for Spanish LOTE, Secondary levels.
- Deliver effective and interactive Spanish language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
- Introduce aspects of Spanish culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
- Design assessments to evaluate students' language acquisition and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate Spanish LOTE language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
- Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
Skills & Experience:
- Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Current VIT registration is essential.
- Proven experience teaching secondary Spanish LOTE in Australia within a Primary/Secondary school setting.
- Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
