Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum.
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Minimum 4 year Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification.
- Current VIT registration.
- Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
