Overview

We are seeking an inspiring educator who is passionate about holistic education and committed to nurturing the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of young people. The Thrive Curriculum aims to form confident, resilient, and compassionate students who are holistically prepared to engage in learning and contribute positively to the culture of the College and the community.

The Thrive Leader will have responsibility for the design and implementation of the curriculum and programs that promote inclusivity, respectful relationships, and personal accountability, all within the context of our Catholic Identity and Values.

In this role, the Thrive Leader will guide and support a range of wellbeing programs and initiatives that enable students to face the challenges of learning and life with confidence. The curriculum will equip them with the skills, habits, and dispositions necessary for lifelong learning, healthy relationships, and personal growth.

To be successful, we need an authentic and trustworthy role model, with an appreciation for the diversity and complexity of issues impacting young people, particularly those which may impact students' ability to fully engage with their learning.

This is a permanent role as a Teacher, with a Position of Leadership (POL 3 + 300 minutes of release time) allocated until January 2027. The successful applicant will commence in Term 1, 2026.

Our ideal Candidate will have

  • understanding of wellbeing, social-emotional learning, and holistic education
  • experience with curriculum design and implementation
  • an ability to cultivate respectful relationships between students, staff and families
  • a demonstrated ability to build the capacity of teachers to present Thrive curriculum matters
  • outstanding communication skills, with a particular focus on displaying empathy
  • our welcoming culture based on Gospel Values and pastoral approach towards educator and student wellbeing
  • employee wellbeing programs with an emphasis on emotional support including access to counselling and debriefing
  • approachable and accessible Learning Leaders and College Leadership Team
  • sponsored/subsidised learning for completion of higher education qualifications
  • professional collaboration and support, including access to a team of dedicated instructional coaches and mentors
  • future career opportunities with our new K-12 campus opening in Wyndham Vale in 2027
