Operations Supervisor

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks. This is a part-time role within the Amazon Logistics team. The role requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team to achieve performance goals and productivity standards that align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager to identify and resolve any issues that may arise. The Operations Supervisor role will work on part-time shifts supporting our Logistics team.
Responsibilities- Foster a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies.
- Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks.
- Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed.
- Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Allocate tasks to staff to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring productivity.
- Support onboarding and training of new associates to ensure necessary knowledge to perform tasks.
- Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metrics.
- Identify factors contributing to achievement or shortfalls of Exchange Point objectives.
- Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules.
- Address and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects.
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Experience in logistics
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 20 kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Experience managing teams
- Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Outlook
