St Stephen's Presbyterian is a reformed and evangelical church in Surrey Hills, Melbourne.We are a church committed to the gospel of Christ, to proclaiming it and being rooted and established in it.Our vision is 'to see God gloried as the love and truth of Jesus overflow from His church to the world' and our mission is 'making and maturing disciples of Jesus together' .

Responsibilities

Evangelism and Mission

·Leading:lead our evangelistic efforts and strategically consider how we can better engage our community to extend a wider and deeper gospel witness

·Training:equip the church for evangelism and mission into our local community, schools and beyond

·Engaging:engagewith the needs of the community and coordinate pre-evangelistic activities to serve the community (e.g. parenting, marriage courses)

·Supporting:provide support to the ministry team leaders under the 'Mission' area

·Developing:develop a strategic pathway for how we can bring people to know and believe in Jesus

Sunday Service

·Overseeing:oversee the Sunday services and all the ministry teams involved

·Leading:ensure thatourservices are theologically deep, familially warm and widely accessible to all people

·Coordinate:manage the services so that there is a clear overarching theme and alignment across all elements of the service (e.g. sermon theme tied to service leading, music selection, benediction)

·Training:train and equip all those involved in the services (e.g. service leaders, Bible readers, prayers, etc…)

·Supporting:provide support to the ministry team leaders under the 'Ministry' area (e.g. music, AV, sound)

·Managing:manage the in-service communication and announcements

·Developing:develop systems that wouldserve the effective and efficientrunning of our Sunday services

Qualifications

·You have been theologically trained at a reformed and evangelical Bible college, or are willing to work towards being theologically trained.

·You are a member or will apply for communicant membership of St Stephen's Presbyterian Church.

·Ordination is not necessary
