Overview

Key Responsibilities as a Cook
  • Prepare gourmet meals specifically designed for airline customers, working closely with the culinary team to offer a wide range of delicious options while adhering to in-flight dining requirements.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared and presented with precision and elegance, with attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts.
  • Work efficiently under pressure, maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Collaborate on menu development and refinement.
  • Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Train and mentor junior cooks.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely ingredient delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
Compensation

Salary: $23.50 per hour, influenced by experience and other factors.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in culinary or 2+ years of high-volume or airline catering experience.
  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef.
  • Strong culinary knowledge and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility for various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid food handler's certificate or equivalent.
Additional Information

Position requires continuous multi-tasking, attention to detail, punctuality, and adherence to safety procedures. Work is indoors with variable noise levels. Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
