What are we looking for?

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Lawyer to join our Client Advisory Practice in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. This is a full-time role, with flexibility for part-time or other arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • As a Senior Client Consultant Lawyer, conduct first client appointments to determine if the matter is viable for Slater and Gordon to act, and offer/ manage a Legal Cost Agreement where viable.
  • Conduct personal injury first client appointments (Work, Road, or Public Liability): elicit detailed instructions, provide initial legal advice, and obtain a Legal Cost Agreement.
  • Build strong rapport with clients to improve conversion and satisfaction outcomes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure viability of matters, clear client handovers, and awareness of changes in law and process.
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking and adopt new technology to enhance processes.
  • Provide legal mentoring and support to engage junior lawyers in the Direct to Lawyer team.
What will you bring?
  • Post-admission experience (5+ PAE) as a Personal Injury Lawyer (preferably Public Liability or Work and Road).
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Personal Injury law (preferably Public Liability or Work and Road).
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven networking and relationship management abilities.
  • Experience in running a file load.
  • Experience in mentoring or managing junior lawyers or support staff.
