The Associate Director of Sales is primarily focused on securing future business opportunities within assigned markets, cultivating the current base of major accounts, increasing projected revenues, promoting EVT group business, identifying potential in markets where we are not capturing our fair share of the business, and ensuring a competitive position in anticipation of changing market and customer needs.

• Develop and grow new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals by prospecting, making sales calls, entertaining and conducting site inspections.
• Maximize key accounts by saturating account contacts and departments; establish and maintain close contact with key accounts through phone calls, appointments, client functions and famils to assess future and current needs.
• Capture and shift business from competitor hotels through research, networking, and proactive telemarketing/soliciting new accounts, including outside sales calls; maintain contact with target accounts via phone, appointments, client functions and famils.
• Direct management, oversight and goals (revenue, demand generation, share growth) for identified group accounts.
• Ensure hotels stay abreast of key market and account trends, production and high-impact sales activities.
• Strive to deliver above market performance, enhancing hotel market share in identified target markets.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders before major decisions, ensuring decisions are supported by a Business Case.
• Participate in Revenue Management calls and weekly C&E Hub calls.
• Support the strategic direction of hotel sales strategies in identified markets.
• Assist in the development of the Annual Business Plan and Financial Budget.
• Ensure activity is recorded in the CRM; monitor sales delivery against targets with regular reviews.
• Be aware of business peaks and troughs and contribute ideas that drive revenue and profitability in target markets for hotels.
• Participate in industry organisations to maintain relationships and obtain market information.
• Perform other reasonable requests from the Director of Sales or General Manager.

• Understand the objectives of target market segments and ensure strategies support those objectives.
