Senior People & Talent Partner APJ @ Yahoo | Global Talent AcquisitionAre you a forward-thinking, strategic leader with a passion for driving business growth and innovation? Yahoo is looking for a Head of Strategic Solutions to lead high performing specialist teams, playing a key role in shaping the direction of cutting-edge industry digital solutions using Yahoo DSP and services.
This is a pivotal leadership position, reporting directly to the Managing Director, that will influence the success of the Yahoo DSP business and the next evolution within Commerce Media, Omnichannel marketing, data & measurement solutions. This role will work closely with the Commercial Lead to support the commercial value and investment partnerships to ensure clients not only meet, but exceed their business and technical requirements. You will drive strategic solutions, technically-led investment opportunities, manage key integrations, partnerships and operational excellence standards across a broad range of categories and client types.
Key success metrics will be measured against driving top-line revenue with new and existing YoY growth, operational margin efficiencies and initiatives, building new and innovative revenue streams linked to commercial and technical solutions. This role will own its own P&L and be accountable for its business unit revenue and OKRs, managing a highly effective and specialised team.
This role requires key attributes and experience by having; tenured leadership with having built and led large teams, delivered new revenue generating solutions and come with solid executive level relationships across the agencies and the industry. This person needs to be well versed with being client facing, well tenured with presenting at industry events and being the face of the company and solution.
As the Head of Strategic Solutions, you will work closely with local and global senior leaders across Yahoo whilst leading a high-performing team that's dedicated to delivering tailored solutions, meeting the complex and evolving needs of key enterprise, client direct and agency holdcos, while driving and hitting revenue targets and long-term growth through Yahoo's DSP.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Success & Relationship Management:
- Own the overall customer experience for Yahoo DSP clients, building lasting relationships with senior stakeholders (e.g., Heads of Departments, C-suite executives) to drive long-term success.
- Foster an environment where clients feel supported, valued, and empowered to adopt and leverage Yahoo's DSP technology and capabilities for their business growth.
- Quickly address and resolve client issues, ensuring smooth communication and efficient problem resolution at every stage of the client journey.
- Spearhead the development of cutting-edge solutions to address industry challenges, ensuring that Yahoo's DSP evolves in alignment with client needs and market trends.
- Lead innovation by creating solutions tailored to agency and enterprise investment deals, maximizing value and ensuring the best outcomes for both Yahoo and its partners.
- Partner closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to design, test, and roll out new offerings that enhance the overall customer experience.
Revenue Growth & Business Development:
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts, using a strategic and results-oriented approach to up-sell and cross-sell additional services.
- Proactively pitch solutions for underperforming campaigns and propose new strategies based on client KPIs, Yahoo's core competencies, and emerging market opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to create integrated strategies that meet client needs, while delivering on broader business objectives.
- Own quarterly forecasts, ensuring that all accounts under your leadership are aligned with revenue targets and business projections.
Market Education & Thought Leadership:
- Represent Yahoo DSP as a thought leader in the programmatic advertising space, participating in industry events, panels, and discussions to elevate the Yahoo brand.
- Lead education initiatives, ensuring that clients and the broader market are well-informed about the latest Yahoo product offerings, new technologies, and best practices in digital marketing.
- Provide strategic insights, guiding clients on how to optimize their marketing strategies using Yahoo's suite of products, helping them stay ahead of industry trends.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Develop team members through coaching, feedback, and opportunities for career growth, building a strong talent pipeline within the organization.
- Work closely with commercial leadership to align team efforts with Yahoo's overall business strategy and goals, ensuring the team's work directly contributes to the success of the organization.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, sales, technical, and marketing teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.

- Client Relationship Management: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with senior-level clients and stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong expertise in digital advertising, omnichannel marketing, and data-driven campaign strategies, with a focus on driving measurable results.
- Adaptability & Innovation: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay ahead of market trends, and continuously innovate to meet client and market needs.
