The Role

Sourcing Manager – Simplification Project Lead role at Patties Food Group. We are embarking on a significant simplification project to optimise recipes, consolidate suppliers, and strengthen our supply chain as we relocate production across our sites. You will play a pivotal role in this transformation and ensure procurement strategies deliver on cost, quality, service, and sustainability.

You will be responsible for driving value from all third-party spend, managing supplier relationships, and delivering savings and efficiency targets. You'll work closely with Procurement, Innovation, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing teams to deliver strong financial and operational outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement procurement sourcing strategies to deliver best-value outcomes.
  • Lead supplier selection, RFP processes, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Manage Procurement budgets and deliver on PPV (Purchase Price Variance) targets.
  • Drive supply chain simplification by consolidating SKUs and suppliers, ensuring alignment with business relocation plans.
  • Partner with Finance, Innovation, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure supplier performance meets service, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Provide insights through spend analysis and cost/market modelling to identify opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of new products, suppliers, and services that deliver a competitive advantage.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to building a high-performance culture within Procurement.
The Person

To be successful in this role, you'll be a commercially savvy procurement professional with a knack for building strong supplier partnerships and driving value. With experience in FMCG or a fast-paced supply chain environment, you thrive on solving complex challenges and can balance cost, quality, and service to deliver results. Your experience should include:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in FMCG supply chain/procurement roles.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with knowledge of sales & operations planning.
  • Proven contract negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Sound understanding of processed food manufacturing processes.
  • University degree or equivalent education.
  • Further qualifications such as CIPS, APICS, or MBA.
  • Experience delivering complex procurement projects in dynamic environments.
