Residency by Dillons is a boutique family-run aged care facility located in the heart of Narrogin. Our home provides residents with equal access to care in a supportive and friendly environment. We respect residents' traditional and cultural backgrounds and provide an environment of peace, security, and harmony, allowing them to live creatively and independently. Please note that this is a regional facility and you will need to reside locally to be eligible for this position.

We are currently seeking a Personal Care Worker to join our team. We are proud of our team-oriented work culture and innovative management practices focused on quality resident care.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care and/or equivalent.
  • Genuine desire to care for frail aged people.
  • Effective communication skills in written and oral English.
  • Current flu and Covid vaccination records highly regarded.
  • Willing to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Willing to work a variety of shifts.
  • Immediate availability to start.
  • Must already reside locally; please confirm your location and availability for shifts at our Narrogin facility in your cover letter.
  • No accommodation assistance is provided for this position.
  • Must have valid working rights in Australia; no sponsorship options available.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Deliver care and support based on residents' individual care needs.
  • Follow residents' care plans and instructions from the Registered Nurse.
  • Recognize and report changes in residents' health status.
  • Administer medication safely and correctly according to policies and procedures.
  • Assist residents in maintaining optimal health and well-being.
  • Encourage residents to maximize independence and participate in various activities.
  • Respect residents' rights to make informed health care and residency choices.
  • Maintain a safe, home-like environment for residents and staff.
  • Identify and report hazards to the Registered Nurse.
