About the role

We are seeking Relief Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites across Melbourne. Responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of personnel and visitors
  2. Patrolling premises to prevent intrusion and secure doors, windows, and gates
  3. Responding to alarms and investigating disturbances
  4. Assisting residents and visitors courteously and professionally
  5. Enforcing property rules and regulations
  6. Operating security systems such as CCTV and alarms
  7. Conducting inspections and writing reports on security equipment

Skills & Experience:

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Valid Security Licence, First Aid, and CPR certifications
  • Certificate II in Security Operations or higher
  • Willing to apply for a Working with Children check (or have one)
  • Availability of at least 7 days

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to handle crises calmly, have security protocol knowledge, observational skills, good communication, and physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
