Overview

Senior Occupational Therapist position in the Service Delivery Directorate - Child Youth & Family Division. Location: Dubbo or Mudgee, NSW. Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (Up to June 2026) / Job Share Considered. Hours per week: 38. Applications Close: 3 September 2025 – 11:59pm.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-level clinical occupational therapy service (including services of a more complex nature) with advanced clinical reasoning in the provision of clinical care, with a focus on children.
  • Provide supervision and education programs to Level 1 and 2 staff, Allied Health Assistants and students.
  • Offer a consultative service in areas of clinical expertise to local clinicians to promote quality and safety of services.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and clinical research; develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of services to promote effectiveness and efficiency; provide guidance and advice on future directions for the occupational therapy department.
  • Work with the multidisciplinary team to support service delivery within the health district.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Advanced clinical reasoning skills in occupational therapy.
  • Experience supervising staff, allied health assistants and students; ability to provide clinical supervision and education.
  • Ability to contribute to planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement activities within the department.
Remuneration and Benefits

Remuneration: $112, $116,038.00 per annum (+ superannuation + salary packaging options). Location: Dubbo or Mudgee, NSW. 38 hours per week. Applications Close: 3 September 2025 – 11:59pm.
