Qantas is Australia's largest regional, domestic, and international airline. The Qantas Group operates with two complementary brands — Qantas and Jetstar — and supports customers and freight across regional, domestic, and international services. This is a 12 month fixed term contract based at Qantas Head Office in Mascot.
Responsibilities- Provide expert HR advice to a broad stakeholder group and influence solutions and continuous improvement
- Business Partner with HRBPs and the People Community to deliver generalist HR expertise and support
- Partner and advise with the People Community to deliver high-quality, generalist HR support across diverse business units
- Coach and support leaders on crucial conversations, organisational change, and employee lifecycle matters
- Drive improvements by utilising Workday processes and tools, support change programs, and contribute to people initiatives
- Apply expertise across a range of HR activities, including policy advice and workforce planning to program implementation
- Shape employee experience by fostering positive relationships, building leadership capability, and ensuring consistency in people practices
- 3–5 years' generalist HR or related experience
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Demonstrated capability in managing projects, handling competing priorities and delivering outcomes in time-sensitive operational environments
- Experience supporting change, coaching managers, and building organisational capability
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to provide clear, well-reasoned advice
- Sound judgement, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to problem solving
