Neurospine Institute is a multi-disciplinary surgical practice with offices in Murdoch, Perth City and Wembley. We are looking for a medical receptionist to join our fantastic team to support established surgeons, physicians and physiotherapists. The successful applicant will be both organised and an organiser, with the confidence to make decisions and recommendations for improvements as the practice develops. We help our patients wherever possible and strive to provide the highest quality of customer service and you must embody this attitude.

Duties will include:

  • Answering incoming calls to the Practice and managing patient enquiries;
  • Scheduling patient appointments for all locations and medical disciplines;
  • Manage general admin tasks such as faxing, e-mail, document management, scanning, etc;
  • Clinic management, including preparation, surgical procedure bookings, checking patients in/out of appointments, obtaining test results, organising necessary follow-up tests or appointments, and invoicing and receipting payments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fantastic telephone manner and customer service;
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to Practice protocols and preferences;
  • Strong computer literacy skills with a focus on data integrity (high attention to detail);
  • Accountability, initiative, enthusiasm, a good work ethic; and be genuinely committed to a long-term role;
  • The maturity to remain calm, focused and be able to navigate through competing tasks/requests and priorities;
  • Be a permanent Australian resident;

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work within the medical sector managing surgeons and/or specialists

This is a permanent full-time role offering a competitive remuneration package. Part-time hours will also be considered.
